Experienced Senior Executive with successful track record and reputation for achieving results for large bluechip companies in the chemical industry.  David has operated at President, Vice President and Managing Director level in leading Process Industry and Specialist Maintenance & Service Businesses for a period of over 15 years.

David has gained the functional experience of engineering design, maintenance and operation of world scale continuous and batch plants including high hazard installations in ICI, Albright and Wilson, and Rhodia.

As Vice President of the Albright and Wilson European Phosphates Business David had full responsibility for production and operations for the 9 sites in the total Surfactant and Specialty Phosphates business employing 2,500 people Worldwide.

As Vice President and Global Asset Director of the Rhodia Specialty Phosphates business David was responsible for a global business with production at 11 sites worldwide employing 2000 people.

Over his long career David has gained extensive M&A experience from acquisitions whilst working with strategic investors from small $5 Million “tuck-ins” up to $1 Billion deals and has managed the consequent Integration and rationalisation of global production assets as part of his various roles in operations.

Experienced in leading multifunctional commercial and technical teams guiding the problem solving teams to re-engineer and optimise key functions, including sales, marketing, engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, TQM and logistics. 

Former President of CEEP (a CEFIC sub-group for Phosphate Industry), David is familiar with the workings of the European Commission.

Chartered Engineer, Fellow of Institution of Mechanical Engineers.
